Show Rules

All dogs to be kept on leads at all times, unless requested otherwise by the judge.

All ferrets to be kept in a secure basket unless requested otherwise by the judge.

The organisers accept no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage or injury to property, persons or livestock however caused.

The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry and/or disqualify entries.

The organisers reserve the right to alter the schedule at any time.

Any dog in height dispute will be measured by a steward.

Any abuse, verbal or physical, directed at the judges, stewards or other competitors will not be tolerated and immediate action will be taken. This may include exclusion from future shows.

Owners will be asked to remove any animal which appears dangerous. This may include children.

No dogs are to be left unattended, including in vehicles, at any time.

Please ensure you remove any mess your dog makes; bags and bins have been provided. As an aside, "doggie doo-doo bags" are available free of charge from Chelmsford Borough Council at the Civic Centre or the Council Office in South Woodham Ferrers.

No animals may be bought or sold on the playing field or its grounds.

Dogs under 6 months of age are not eligible for entry in the Companion Show.

Dogs which have won any of the following awards are not eligible for entry in the Companion Show Classes:- Challenge Certificate, Reserve Challenge Certificate or Junior Warrant.

With regard to the Novelty and Crossbred Classes within the Companion Show, class winners which do not head other classes will nonetheless be eligible for the Novelty & Crossbred Championship.

The judge's decision may not be yours, but it is final.

Our judges will be happy to answer any questions you may have after your class.

Entries taken on the day - £1 per class.

Entrants into ferret classes wishing to qualify for the British Ferret Club National Championship should note additional rules on view at the ferret ring.
